5 Minutes with...Actress Cheryl Werier-Holling

How would you classify your spirituality? I am on fire for Jesus so I guess that makes me a Christian!!! Although like Jesus, I respect all people, and their religion, as I feel the only way for people to come to know Christ is to emulate and become like Him; accepting, loving, compassionate, patient, humble, non-judgmental...to do this is a life long task that I do okay some days and others I fail and fall in my very human way!

What is most precious to you in your spiritual journey? God's grace and mercy which are true and new each day.

Give us a short description of your prayer life. I read God's Word every morning and share prayer time with my husband. I also walk approximately 4 miles each day and send up prayers of gratitude at that time. I thank Him for all that is good and beautiful in the world,...that is until some car comes around the corner going 65 miles in a 15 mph zone and I have to dig a bit deeper for that gratitude. LOL!

Book(s), music, and movie you feel represents you as a person. Everything!!! Seriously, this is a tough one as I have very eclectic interests.

Books: Anything by Joyce Meyer, Walter Mosley, mysteries, adventures, great autobiographies, plays, Jana Ward's new book!!! (It rocks and everyone should have it---oops, including me...okay, I'll order one!!!), Heart of the Artist, Miracles Happen, (awesome book to read whether you're part of the Mary Kay business or not...excellent life and business priciples...).

Movie: I don't really know how to answer the movie question...just like my taste in music, I love many different kinds of films. I'd have to say that the early George Cukor Films (and the strong women he presents) resonate with me. Also, Mae West and Lucille Ball films...sometimes I feel more Mae and other times like Lucy and many times both...One film,"Blade Runner", really affected me because it's about man's struggle with his immortality and the questions he has for God (at least that's what I get out of the film).

Music: That's a tough question because I truly love ALL types of music. I will quote Duke Ellington, "There are two types of music; Good music and Bad music..." I love good music, there really is no one song that best describes me...I'm sorry :- ( Then again there's always "I Think I Love You" by the Partridge Family...that's pretty cool! LOL!

Do you feel art is an important aspect for a human being and why? Absolutely and without it we'd die! I'm not being trite in this answer. We are called human 'beings' for a reason. To be or not to be...okay, I digress...to be is to change, evolve, create and re-create. To be born into Christ is a creative process in itself in that we change into new beings and thus a new self is created...THAT is art, that is life. God gave us ALL uniquely, amazing gifts that are meant to be expressed...for some it's writing, others cooking, dancing, singing, perhaps creative' financing...the point is art is in the creator and without it's expression, in whatever form, I think we'd cease to exist.

Scripture that has come alive before your very eyes: Joshua 1 6-9, I's the scripture that supported my move up here and let me know in my heart it was okay to do so.
Scripture, quote, or famous saying that inspires/resonates with you strongly: Jeremiah 29:11, "If you think you can or can't you're right", "No matter where you go there you are."

Favorite Color: RED ; represents strength, power and beauty!

Favorite Drink: Hardcore COFFEE (their slogan 'You can sleep when you're dead'!!!), water, an excellent glass of wine or champagne (okay, so that's more than one).

Favorite Hobby: Answering your questions, LOL!

Most Inspiring Person to You: I am very blessed to say that I have several people in my life that inspre me right now; my husband, God, my friends, acquaintances whose life stories have inspired or motivated me...

Currently Reading: 'Miracles Happen' (for the third time) by Mary Kay, 'The Dream Giver' by Bruce Wilkinson and "Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth' (aka the Bible!).

Least Favorite Chore: Cleaning up the dust-bunnies around my place and, boy, can they hop!

Dream As A Little Girl: To be a cartoon character and a world-class singer!!! Not necessarily an animated singer but some semblence of both.... LALALALALA!

Your Dream Now: To actualize the woman God created me to be.

Favorite Retreat: A hike through Armstrong Woods, a drive through Bodega Bay and my favorite walk on Gold Ridge Road which meanders through Gravenstein apple trees and vineyards as far as the eye can see....

Describe Your Style: Depends on my mood; eclectic fashionista baby.
