Can't believe I did this but I hiked a good 9.6 miles yesterday (Memorial Day)! Okay, my left knee is now paying for it - as is the rest of my body - but...wow! That's a record for me.
Sure, I complained and moaned a good part of the way but my hubby took it in good stride. He felt so bad that he promised to watch a movie I'd been itching to watch for a long time...AND he grilled a to-die-for steak. I was a happy camper the rest of the evening :)
Will I be able to break my record anytime soon? As soon as I get over the aches and pains from this adventure then I'll be able to think about the next challenge. One thing at a time. OK?
